My Summer Makeup Routine

In the summer I like to keep makeup as light, quick, and easy as possible and this routine takes me about five minutes each day. Since getting lash extensions, I haven’t worn eye makeup and that’s significantly cut down the time of my makeup routine. Here’s my summer makeup routine! What are your favorite summer makeup products? I’d love to hear!

Pre-Cleanse

Dermalogica PreCleanse Balm & Mitt: I started using this a couple of months ago and now it’s part of my everyday routine! I love how gently the mitt exfoliates. My skin has never been clearer!

Face Wash

Beautycounter Nourishing Cream Cleanser: I’ve been using this consistently, day and night, for the past two years. I love that it doesn’t dry out my skin like cleansers I have used in the past.

Moisturizer

Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream: I recently switched back to using an anti-aging moisturizer. I had been using this moisturizer from Beautycounter, which I really like. I have used anti-aging moisturizer since high school and really like how this Olay one feels on the skin! Beautycounter is coming out with a new anti-aging line this month and I think I will give it a try! I will let you know how it compares!

Primer

Hello FAB Coconut Skin Smoothie Priming Moisturizer: I use this sparingly, and only on the driest parts of my face.

Liquid Highlighter/Skin Tint

BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector^®Liquid Highlighter or Beautycounter Dew Skin Tinted Moisturizer: I only use one of these. I recently saw someone on Instagram use the BECCA Highlighter and loved the look of it! She put it on, all over her face before the rest of her makeup and it looked amazing! I’ve been using it for the past week and I really like the look of it! On most days I use Beautycounter’s Dew Skin Tinted Moisturizer. It’s the first thing I ever purchased from Beautycounter and I haven’t stopped using it since!

Concealer

Beautycounter Touchup Skin Concealer Pen: I use this to brighten the dark circles under my eyes!

Foundation

bareMinerals Original Loose Powder Foundation: I love how light this feels on the skin, especially on summer days! If I am going to an event or just want to wear a liquid foundation, I use Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear Foundation.

Bronzer

Beautycounter Color Pinch Cream Blusher: I wear this in the color “Caramel” and love how natural it looks!

Highlighter

Beautycounter Luminous Powder Highlighter: I’ve tried many highlighters and this is definitely my favorite! It’s subtle and has a beautiful glow!

Lip Color

Pixi By Petra Shea Butter Lip Balm: I purchased the “Natural Rose” color at Target a few weeks ago and have been wearing it daily! I love it!

Some other skin and hair products that I have been using this summer are: Kate Somerville Self Tanning Towelettes, EcoTools Dry Body Brush, Amika Supernova Moisture and Shine Hair Cream, and Living Proof Dry Shampoo.
