I am a wife and mother that is passionate about sharing content that helps us each live a beautiful and virtuous life. As an etiquette instructor, I love to seek out the beautiful things that surround us. You can often find me making a meal with my husband, building LEGOs with my son, and reading a good book - all in a beautiful dress! Thank you for being a part of this community, I am so happy you are here!

Insights on Literature, etiquette, and Beauty from a Catholic wife and mom

I hope you’re having a beautiful Friday and I hope your weekend is wonderful! It’s snowing here in Buffalo and we plan to stay in, cook some meals we’ve been wanting to since being off the Whole30, and read! What are your plans this weekend? Share in the comments below!

My Friday Favorites

1.) Mimi Thorisson Cookbooks and Blog

Ever since discovering her Instagram this past year I’ve had Mimi’s cookbooks on my Amazon wishlist, especially THIS one! I need to order one soon! I love looking at the recipes on her beautiful blog!

2.) Focus SEEK21 Conference

This is my first time (virtually) attending a SEEK Conference! I have wanted to attend for years and I hope next year, like everyone, I can be there in person. Focus is a Catholic apostolate whose mission is to share the hope and joy of the Gospel. Their conference is this weekend and you can attend it with me by clicking HERE!

3.) Blessed Is She Lenten Devotional: Set A Fire

Every Lent and Advent I look forward to using the Blessed Is She Devotionals. They really open up the liturgical seasons for me in a powerful way. It’s beautiful to pray alongside thousands of women who are using the devotional, too! HERE is the link for this year’s Lent Devotional! It’s focus is on the Holy Spirit and was written by my friend, Olivia Spears! While you’re on their site, check out the Blessed Is She Blog! I’m a regular monthly contributor and I love writing for this beautiful ministry!

4.) The Little Catholic Holy Family Rings

The Little Catholic is constantly creating stunning and unique jewelry pieces and her latest design is probably my favorite (though I say that every release)! After consecrating ourselves to Saint Joseph this week and finding out that February is the month of the Holy Family, I feel SO close to the Holy Family. This Holy Family Ring (along with the gold version) is a powerful reminder that the Holy Family is always with me and my family! I love wearing it with my Holy Family Necklace! Use code CLAIRE10 for a discount off your entire order!

5.) Musée d’Orsay Virtual Tours

Google Arts and Culture has a list of museums throughout the world to virtually explore! Each week, Peter and I learn about a new artist for his pre-k lessons and I’m looking forward to showing him this Parisian Art Museum!

6.) Half Baked Harvest Recipes

I think a big reason I successfully completed the Whole30 last month was because I’d look at Half Baked Harvest’s recipes everyday! I discovered her on Pinterest, which led me to her blog and recipes! Her story is incredible, her photos are stunning, and her recipes look delicious! I want to make these Overnight Cinnamon Rolls With Chai Frosting this weekend! Just like Mimi Thorisson’s cookbooks, Half Baked Harvest books are on my wishlist!

7.) The Bible In A Year Podcast

I first heard about this podcast from my friend Emily who shared it in her Instagram stories! Everyday, Father Mike Schmitz reads two or three Scripture passages and shares a reflection and prayer. The episodes are about twenty minutes and I listen to them each day while getting ready! This podcast has been such a blessing and it’s opening up Scripture in a new way! I haven’t missed a day yet! I can’t recommend it enough!

Which one is your favorite?
