This is our third year apple picking as a family and our second year picking at Stonehill Orchard! I was looking at this post from 2017 and this one from last year and I cannot believe how much Peter has grown! I love creating traditions as a family, ones (like apple picking!) that I hope we will continue indefinitely.
We usually pick apples in October but it worked out that we could go earlier this year. I’m so glad we did! We had the orchard to ourselves and it was so much fun chasing Peter up and down the rows of apple trees, naming the different varieties of apples as we ran!
This year we will be making our favorite apple dessert, Cider Caramel Apple Pie from Food52. Mike and I have been making it annually since we were engaged. It seriously is the best! What are your favorite apple recipes? We would love to hear!
