Flowers on table with woman behind them

When I teach etiquette, my focus is the dignity of the human person. Etiquette allows us to refine and gift ourselves to others, all while honoring the dignity of others. By practicing etiquette, we acknowledge our own dignity, and the fruit of that is honoring the dignity of others.

My desire with teaching etiquette is to instill in others the importance of:

  1. their own dignity, that is YOUR own dignity and
  2. the dignity of the people they interact with, the people YOU interact with and
  3. having confidence in those interactions.

Having a knowledge of basic etiquette gives us freedom. Instead of focusing on ourselves, whether or not we are doing something right or wrong, worrying if we are offending someone, or overanalyzing how we act – being well versed in etiquette allows us to have the freedom to gift others with our presence and to be fully present to each person we encounter and every situation we are in.
