Happy Advent! I’m so excited to share a project I’ve been working on with Hallow! I’m the voice behind Hallow’s Mary on the Mantel! To collaborate with such a beautiful ministry is a dream come true.
Hallow is a Christian prayer app that offers over 10,000 different audio-guided meditation sessions to help us grow in our faith and spiritual lives and find peace with God. That peace, growth, and joy is exactly what my family has experienced through Hallow’s Children’s Advent Challenge, Mary on the Mantel.
Hallow’s Mary on the Mantel (a challenge that starts TODAY!) is a beautiful and meaningful alternative to “Elf on the Shelf” and follows Mary throughout her Advent journey to the crib in Bethlehem. Each day, Mary shares part of her story, encourages children to do acts of kindness, and leads them in a small prayer. Mary on the Mantel contains spiritual lessons that fill not just your children’s hearts, but all who listen – your entire family.
As I recorded Mary on the Mantel, I placed two images before me: one of Mother Mary holding Jesus, and the other, a picture of my son – reminding me of all the children who would be listening, children and families yearning to join Mary’s journey to Jesus this Advent. Before every recording I prayed for each person who would listen to Mary on the Mantel this Advent. You have been prayed for.
That was a powerful moment for me, realizing what a gift Hallow’s App has been in my own life. That through the Hallow app – through their meditations and prayers – I have been led closer into a beautiful community, the body of Christ, closer to Jesus Himself.
Please join me, and over 13,000 families in Hallow’s Mary on the Mantel Challenge! If you already have the Hallow App downloaded, simply join the challenge and follow along each day leading up to Christmas! Or, CLICK HERE to join me in this beautiful challenge.
I’m using Be A Heart’s Mother Mary doll LINKED HERE, but you can use any doll you have on hand.
Are you joining the Mary on the Mantel Challenge this Advent? It starts today! I can’t wait to pray with you this Advent.
