I first learned about the benefits of linen when I researched what type of baby carrier to purchase for Peter. Linen was rated the top fabric for both children and adults because of its hypoallergenic features, its moisture absorbency, and its strength. I love the texture of linen – with more wear and use it becomes buttery soft. Now my top fabric choice for clothes is linen – because of both its beauty and practicality!
A few weeks ago I came across a beautiful Lithuanian linen company, Linenfox. Linenfox offers a wide range of high quality, ethically made linen pieces for your wardrobe. Their pieces are simple, elegant, and beautiful. The colors of linen that they offer are some of the most gorgeous I have ever seen – it was difficult to select a dress color because each one was so beautiful!
Linenfox uses 100% organic and toxic free certified linen. Every part of their packaging can be recycled. My favorite thing about this company is that they uphold the dignity of their workers and the work that they do. They even list their seamstresses by name on their website!
I received their Dori Dress in “sea green” last week. The dress was packaged so beautifully and thoughtfully (I now use the linen string it was wrapped in to tie up all of my braids!). It is the softest dress I own and such a gorgeous addition to the capsule closet I am creating.
Some of my favorite pieces on their website include: their Luna Top, this deep pocketed skirt, and this jumpsuit! If you are pregnant or nursing, their Joy Dress would be the perfect purchase. Each piece of clothing on their website is beautiful!
I am so excited to follow along this incredible company’s ethical journey. I look forward to seeing the future designs and products that they will create as they continue to grow.
