I realized that this is the first time in a few months we are sharing our family goals on the blog! This Autumn has been non-stop and I cannot believe it is already December! We are excited to enter into this Advent season and prepare our hearts for Christmas.
Most of our time and energy has been put towards Mike finishing his doctorate! He defends his dissertation next week (please say a prayer for him!) and we are thrilled to start the post-PhD life! We have been dreaming and planning what that will look like for us, and we are most excited for the extra time we will be able to spend together as a family.
We did find time to travel to Los Angeles last month! We were invited to the Live Action Life Awards Gala. It was one of the most incredible evenings of my life! Lila Rose is such an inspiration, and meeting her was a dream come true. She is changing lives and hearts everyday. Be sure to visit her page, along with Live Action!
While we were in Los Angeles I visited and toured the production company I’ve partnered with to create Moscati Scrubs! I loved meeting the people I have been working with for the past year and seeing how and where the scrubs are being made. Meeting the workers really confirmed in my mind and heart how important ethical and sustainable fashion is, and how much it matters.
Our Christmas tree and decorations went up the day before Thanksgiving, we just couldn’t wait! We are soaking up the peaceful Advent days leading to Christmas. I’ve been using my Magnificat each morning for prayer time, along with a daily Rosary. Mike and I finished the 54 Day Rosary Novena last month and it really changed our life! I am writing a blog post for the Blessed Is She Blog about the Novena and our experience with it for January, but if you want to learn more about the importance of the Rosary right now, watch THIS video!
We hope that your Advent and Christmas is blessed!
