One of our goals this summer was to find a sunflower field. If you follow us on Instagram, you’ll remember our sunflower mishap a few weeks ago. We drove an hour and a half to find an empty field! It was a memorable experience and we made the most of our day.
This past Saturday we heard about a sunflower field that is much closer to us. We decided to visit the next day and try again in our quest to find that beautiful sea of yellow. When we arrived we actually drove by it because we were in awe staring at it! The fields went on for acres, and it truly is one of the most beautiful scenes we have ever seen.
Peter ran around barefoot (we lost his shoes a few times in the field!) and he loved seeing the bees and hearing them buzz in the flowers. We loved seeing him so happy and free! Our afternoon in the sunflower fields remains one of our favorite memories as a family, and we hope to make this an annual August tradition.
