November 2018 Family Goals

November is an exciting month for us as we continue working on Moscati Scrubs! A few weeks ago I reached out to a company in Los Angeles to create the first pattern and sample of the scrubs! It’s been amazing (and at times overwhelming!) learning first hand all that goes into creating a sustainable fashion brand. I’m thankful to be working with this company, and for their support, expertise, and guidance.

We are so excited for the Advent and Christmas seasons next month! It is the first holiday in our home and we cannot wait to experience it together as a family. We are cleaning, painting, and decorating our side room and are hoping to put our Christmas tree in it once it is completed! It’s the first year that Peter is really interested in Christmas and we want to make it special for him. I was searching for interactive Advent Calendars made by small businesses and I found this one from an Etsy Shop! I love discovering small businesses and supporting their beautiful shops!

Before Advent and Christmas come, we are happy to spend Thanksgiving with family next week. Thanksgiving is one of our favorite holidays. I just found the cutest Thanksgiving activity for Peter and our nephews to do when they are together. I love following homeschooling accounts on Instagram for tips and ideas, especially Habitat Schoolhouse! She is always offering free activities and worksheets on her beautiful website and when I saw this one I knew I needed to print it out!

November 2018 Family Goals

• Sign up for and run in Buffalo’s Thanksgiving Turkey Trot.
• Get our Christmas card photo taken.
• Make Marilou’s Chocolate Cake. I just discovered the food blog, ‘Trois Fois Par Jour’ – her story, recipes, and website are beautiful!
• Decide on our plans for the Advent season. I will be using the ‘Blessed Is She’ Advent Devotional. It is so beautiful!
• Make our Advent candles together. We ordered this beeswax Advent candle making kit from Toadily Handmade and cannot wait for it to arrive and make them together!
• Make this Rose Bread on Saint Elizabeth of Hungary’s Feast Day.
• Start the Saint Andrew Prayer on November 30th. We have said this prayer together every year since meeting five years ago!
• Bottle the rest of our honey!
• Celebrate Saint Giuseppe Moscati’s Feast Day on November 16th!
• Continue exercising with BBG on the Sweat App.
