We had the best day yesterday! First, we woke up early and went to morning Mass, grabbed some caffeine, and drove into Canada to meet our friends. We decided to meet them in Niagara On The Lake, a beautifully quaint town in Southern Ontario. It was the perfect day to go! The sun shone brightly all day, and there was a warm breeze – such a treat in the middle of February!
We walked together on a trail by the water, where the Niagara River meets Lake Ontario. It made us so happy to see Peter outside! He loved hearing the birds sing, looking up at the blue sky, and seeing the ducks dive in and out of the water. He truly is happiest outside!
We stopped at a café for lunch where Mike and I split a delicious panini, some blood orange gelato, and a couple macarons. Then we walked along the town’s main street and visited some beautiful shops. We made sure to look inside our favorite shop, Ten Thousand Villages, a fair trade shop that sells unique, handmade crafts and home goods.
On our way back home we visited The Hare Wine Company for a little wine tasting! We tried an icewine made out of lychee berries, and loved it! The vineyard looked gorgeous, even in the middle of Winter. It was a beautiful end to the perfect day!
