Peter’s Favorite Activities

• Natural Lavender Oil Play Dough Recipe from Home Song Blog. I make this for Peter about once a week. The inclusion of cream of tartar in the recipe helps preserve the play dough for use throughout the week.
• Habitat School House Workbooks. I browse their workbook section regularly because they often offer workbooks for free like this Bumble Bee one and this Farm Animals one. Mike and I plan on purchasing their pre-school curriculum for Peter this Fall.
• Light of Heaven Saints Coloring Book by Adalee Hude. This coloring book has the most beautiful depictions of Saints.
• Wooden Dinosaurs Memory Game. He beats me every time!
• LEGO 3 in 1 Dinosaur Set. Talking about dinosaurs…Peter’s three favorite things are dinosaurs, LEGOs, and superheroes. This set checks two of the three!
• Father Leopold Celebrates Mass LEGO Set from Domestic Church Supply. Mike found this for Peter and it seriously is the coolest. It even includes the Roman Missal, colored vestments, a chalice, paten, hosts, cruets and lavabo dish. Probably the most unique thing in his playroom!
• ASL Alphabet Flashcards from Free Pancakes. Currently 30% off with code TAKE30OFF at checkout.
• Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons by Siegfried Engelmann. Peter and Mike do a lesson together each night before bed. He’s recognizing letters and saying the sounds they make when we read other books, too. It’s amazing!
• Kinetic Sand. He’s currently playing with this as I write and has been for the past hour. One of his favorite activities for sure!
• Magna-Tiles. A forever favorite. He’s played with these daily since we got them for him just after his first birthday.
