Insights on Literature, etiquette, and Beauty from a Catholic wife and mom

You know a company is amazing when its product sells out within minutes of its restock! When I was pregnant with Peter, a Moses Basket was on the top of our baby list. We love the safety and versatility of them – that you can use them inside the house while making dinner or outside for a beach day. After some research, I found Plum + Sparrow, an incredible company created by Californian Dianna Barton.

What immediately attracted us to the Plum + Sparrow Moses Baskets were not just the vibrant colors of the baskets, but more importantly, the ethical beauty behind each basket Barton sells. As an advocate of the Fair Trade Federation, Barton ensures that each basket purchased from Plum + Sparrow helps support the African men and women that create these beautiful baskets.

Each time we place Peter in his Moses Basket, we cannot help but think of the hardworking hands that designed this basket. It really makes us feel connected to the world in a unique way. I will never forget the first time Peter lay in his Open Seas basket. His eyes grew wide as he looked at the bright colors that surrounded him, he looked back up at me and gave me a huge smile! He is always so calm and playful in the basket!

These baskets are a masterpiece. They are sturdy and impeccably made. We know ours will last and we cannot wait to pass it down to Peter’s children someday!
