Peter’s Second Christmas Tree

We went to pick out our Christmas Tree this past weekend! It was funny because on the way there we realized we were going the same exact day we picked out our tree last year! We went through last year’s pictures and we cannot believe how much Peter has changed in a year. This picture in particular breaks my heart with love!

Peter just woke up from a nap in these pictures! Two minutes into our drive to the tree farm Peter fell asleep, so we drove to one of our favorite cafes and had a late lunch together. We sat at a table for four and Mike sat next to me instead of across from me (which I always love!) and we were able to talk, relax, and actually just sit in silence together! When we arrived at the tree farm after lunch, Peter was still asleep but as soon as we walked onto the property, the tree baler woke him up. We were so glad he woke up to pick out his second Christmas Tree, even though he was sleepy!

The tree is set in place in our home, though we still need to decorate it! This morning when we woke up and came downstairs the house smelled amazing, like what I always imagined Frodo Baggin’s home would smell like! Peter picked out a Grand Fir tree that has the most amazingly cozy scent! We had cinnamon rolls baking and Mike made me the most amazing cup of coffee before we got ready and headed to Mass. This weekend truly was the perfect way to start our Advent season!
