So much has changed in the three years since we were having a snow ball fight on a frozen Mirror Lake in Lake Placid. That was just the beginning of feeling like a kid again, of having so much fun with you in the everyday of life! You are my best friend, and I love laughing with you every day – it is a joyful life!
I am so grateful for you. I am so grateful for our Peter. I love our family. I have been thinking about what it means to give glory to God. How He blesses us with so much, and how we are asked to give of ourselves. Living this life with you is glorious, and I am honored to be able to give myself to you completely. I think of how we are asked to surrender all, to give all to God. It can be easy to equate this with “God gives and God takes away,” but I have found a deeper meaning. Giving our family to God means bringing you and Peter closer to God, and closer to Heaven.
This is my duty. This is my vocation. I give you my word that I will do my best to give you and Peter to God, to lead you to Heaven. I will fight with all of my strength for this – for I desire and will your good, the good of my beloved.
I love you Claire Frances. I love saying your name in my head. It calls to mind your beautiful light!
I love you.
