Insights on Literature, etiquette, and Beauty from a Catholic wife and mom

A few days ago this recipe came to mind. I made it for my family last year and have been waiting for this year’s blueberry season to make it again! I realized that blueberry season, one of my favorite times of the summer, is coming to a close. I called up a friend and asked her if she wanted to join Peter and me for an afternoon of blueberry picking. She agreed and we met at Greg’s U-Pick Farm, a twelve acre family owned local farm.

It was my first time at Greg’s U-Pick Farm and I was immediately impressed with how family friendly it was! The farm encourages children of all ages to come and experience berry picking. I loved how the space between each row of blueberry bushes was large enough to fit a stroller. The farm has such a welcoming atmosphere and the employees are helpful and friendly.

After we picked the blueberries we walked over to the farm’s market and looked at their beautiful display of fresh vegetables. We had such a great day and cannot wait to go back as a family for red raspberry picking before summer’s end!
